Two men arrested for alleged possession of Indian hemp

Two men arrested by the police in Apapa, Lagos State, have been charged with unlawful possession of Indian hemp before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court.

The police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent Fred Azu, told the court that the men, 23-year-old Ibrahim Abdullahi and Isa Mustapha, 20, were caught at Ijora, Lagos, with the weed by about 7.30pm on August 22, 2019.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty before the magistrate Mr M. O. Olubi, who admitted them to N50,000 bail each, with two sureties in like sum.
