THE LAST GOOD BOOK I READ… Ogechi Ezeji (Author) Bad Samaritans by Ha-Joon Chang

Author Ogechi Ezeji said her last good read is Ha-Joon Chang’s ‘Bad Samaritans.’ “It’s non-fiction on development economics. My husband works in the development sector so I have a lot of such books around me.

“I was attracted to this one because of the apparent pun in the title. I have continued to read it for the past four months because I found it refreshing; the new light it shed on the concept of globalization, the vivid connect it made between the prosperity of the developed nations and the poverty of the developing ones.  It answers a lot of questions, the answers to which I have been looking for, and raises fresh ones. I find the author’s argument both convincing and compelling, and as a budding writer, I believe in the productive interplay of fiction and non-fiction in a writer’s mind.”

Ezeji is the author of a children’s literature published this year, titled ‘Dalu’s Diary.’ Her debut book, a collection of poetry titled ‘Eclipse of Justice,’ was released in 2017.
