KABAFEST: 200 students to get N20,000 book grants

Two hundred students from Kaduna State stand to get book grants of N20,000 at the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival (KABAFEST).

The grant is open to undergraduates who are from Kaduna State and attending a tertiary institution within the state the opportunity to attend KABAFEST and “expand their personal book collection.”

Students who are interested are encouraged to apply before the festival and get to redeem their grant at the KABAFEST bookstore. Those successful stand to attend the event free while also having the opportunity to participate in book events and panel discussions.

KABAFEST is taking place from September 11 to 14 2019 and will feature “‘booklogues’, workshops, performances, an art exhibition, a film screening and panel discussions with Nigerian and international writers and thinkers.”

In its third edition, the event will also feature up to 70 guests comprising writers, poets, actors, musicians, artists and filmmakers.
