Group sensitises students on climate change

The Socioeconomic and Environment Advocacy Centre (SEAC) recently organized a workshop on climate change and environment for students of Vital Year Secondary School, Angwar Yusi in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The centre’s Director, Prof. Mohammed Bello Yunusa, supported by Prof. Muhammadu Mustapha Gwadabe, a trustee of SEAC and Mr Kubiat Ubiam, presented plant seedlings to the school.

The principal, Mr Igele A. Austine and the school’s GuidanceCounsellor, Galadima S. Akimbo, received the seedlings on behalf of the students.

Prof. Yunusa commended the school’s proprietor, Mrs Alisha A. Johanna, for supporting the programme.

He noted that the centre also recentlyconducted a workshop on climate and environment at the Federal Girls College in Basawa, Zaria in commemoration of the World Environment Day.
