At her investiture as the 10th Chairman of the district and inauguration of new executive members in Abuja on Tuesday, Ikhanoba said that under her leadership, the district would ensure that members braced up to relevant digital speed and skills required in the digital age.

“Accountants should embrace technology, because that is the in-thing now and they should be able to meet the expectations of their clients,” she said.

She, however, assured members that the chapter would organise more trainings to keep its members abreast on modern accounting technology.

While appreciating Mr Oluwafuminiyin Akande, her predecessor, she said she would need his support and encouragement to succeed in her assignment.

Ikhanoba is currently the Director of Administration at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and had also serves in the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

At the occasion, the National President of ICAN, Mazi Nnamdi A. Okwuadigbo (FCA) said the expectation of the public is high of accountants hence the need for them to be accurate, self-disciplined and also uphold the standards of the profession.

The newly inaugurated Vice Chairman and the Chairman Investiture Committee, Alhaji Balogun Abdulrasheed (FCA) in his welcome address said the Abuja District society has been in the vanguard of promoting the ideals of professionalism and the new administration inaugurated will continue in the same vein.
