JUST IN: Nasarawa govt appoints SSG, aides

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Aliyu Tijani Ahmed as the new Secretary to the State Government, (SSG).

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs and Special Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Abubakar Sadiq Ishaq, he said the governor has also appointed John D. W. Mamman, as Special Adviser, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Dominic A. Bako, PhD, as Special Adviser, Finance.

Also appointed were: Abubakar Imam Zanwa, Special Adviser, Legal Matters; Samuel Egya, Special Adviser, Governor’s Office; Abubakar Murtala Mohammed, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Development Partners; Yakubu Lamai, Director General, Strategic Communications and Press Affairs.

The statement noted that the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State and the Special Advisers will be sworn-in by Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Conference Hall of the Government House, Shendam Road, Lafia by 4:00p.m.
