Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state has urged Muslims in the state to pray for all Northern states battling with insecurity.
Darius made the call in a Sallah message to Muslims in the state on the occasion of this year’s Eid-il-Fitr celebration.
A statement issued by the senior special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, Bala Dan Abu, stated that the governor congratulated all Muslims Ummah for the successful completion of Ramadan fasting.
He commended them for the prayers they embarked on for peace and security of Taraba state and the country during the fasting period.
He urged Muslims to continue praying for Taraba and the country, adding that the state and most of Northern states needed prayers in the face of insecurity they are facing.
Daily Trust reports that the Eid prayer was conducted peacefully in all part of the state including Jalingo, the state capital.
