Gov rewards workers on duty during surprise visit

The Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has directed the Head of Service to immediately make payment of level grants to 135 workers he saw during a surprise visit to state secretariat in Maiduguri yesterday.

Prof. Zulum who went round the Musa Usman state secretariat, expressed dismay over the non-challant attitude of workers by coming late to work and abscondment from duties.

“We are not going tolerate late coming and absenteeism. Though it is Ramadan, we at least expect them to be at their places of work at least by 9:00am, especially the Christians. Government will live up to its expectations but the workers too must do their own part,” the governor said.
