FG shuts 8 petrol stations in Enugu

The Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment yesterday shut down eight petrol stations in Enugu State for alleged wrong pump metering and under-dispensing of products.

They were also said to have been sanctioned for defaulting in payment of regulatory fee to the government.

The Deputy Director in the Weights and Measures Department of the ministry, who led the enforcement team, Ibrahim Isah, told newsmen that the exercise was part of the department’s biannual operation carried out nationwide to ensure that Nigerians get value for their money.
