Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the federal government to release the leader of Shi’a Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the former Presidential security adviser, Sambo Dasuki and other Nigerians in captivity.
The Association specifically appealed to the federal government to ensure negotiation and release of Leah Sharibu and the remaining chibok girls who have been in captivity of the dreaded Boko Haram for years.
CAN also warned men of God against man-made-miracles, saying they will incur wrath of God, if they refuse to desist from it.
The CAN president, Rev Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle who make the appeal at a press conference heralding convention of the Nigerian Baptist convention, held at the church seminary, Ogbomoso over the weekend, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to put all machinery in motion to squarely address in a better way the issues of insecurity such as kidnapping Boko Haram, herdsmen attack and ethnic militia.
