The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has predicted cloudy to partly cloudy and dusty haze weather conditions; as well as localised thunderstorms over most parts of the country on Thursday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Wednesday, in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the central states with dusty haze conditions likely over Abuja, Jos, Kaduna and Bauchi axis.
It also predicted that the central states would have day and night temperatures of 28 to 39 and 18 to 26 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that Northern States would experience dusty haze conditions in visibility range of two to five kilometres with day and night temperatures of 36 to 40 and 21 to 28 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with possibilities of thunderstorms over Yenegoa, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar in the morning hours.
“Later in the day, thunderstorms are envisaged over the entire region (South South) with day and night temperatures of 30 to 35 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius.
“Persistent dryness is expected over the north and some parts of the central cities, while there are chances of thunderstorms over the south in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
