The Edo State Police Commissioner, Danmallam Mohammed, has charged the newly promoted officers in command to be committed and dedicated in protecting lives and property.
Mohammed, who was represented by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, gave the charge Monday while decorating 167 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
“The promotion is in line with the Inspector General of Police agenda towards boosting the image of the force and the moral of the police personnel for effective service delivery. You should be diligent and dedicate more efforts to protecting the lives and properties of citizenry,” he said.
Earlier, the Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, appealed to the people of Edo State to cooperate with the police by giving information that would enhance the fight against crimes in the state.
