Five Nigerian celebrities who bagged major endorsement deals in 2019

TENI

Teni, fondly called Teni Apata, Teniola, Teni Makanaki by her friends, in March 2019 bagged her first major endorsement deal with TomTom, a leading candy brand produced in Nigeria since 1970 by Cadbury Nigeria PLC.

Teniola Apata, the younger sibling of popular Nigerian singer Niniola, who hails from Ekiti state, is a young female Nigerian rapper, singer and song writer signed to Dr Dolor entertainment.

Born on the 12th of December, 1992 in Lagos, Teniola broke into the Nigerian music industry like a hot knife through the butter few years back and has been waxing strong ever since.

This deal with TomTom hopes to pave way for more endorsement deals for the young and talented singer.

 

PHYNO

Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike in March this year also signed an endorsement deal with TomTom alongside Teni.

Popularly called Phyno, his endorsement with Cadbury Nigeria PLC, producer of the TomTom brand, followed other major endorsements he had earlier with  Nairabet and Airtel Nigeria, among others.

The 33 years old singer, song writer, record producer, actor and the most influential Igbo rapper who hails from Enugu state in South-East Nigeria, has won many awards in his music career.

He is also renowned for his raps and songs in Igbo which often catches the fancy of his numerous fans spread across the country and abroad.

 

TIWA SAVAGE

Nigerian singer, song writer and actress, Tiwa Savage has also signed a major deal with NB Plc this year as the new face of one of its brand and its first female brand ambassador.

The first lady of Marvin’s record, the record label to which she is signed with, got the major deal two months after same company signed Burna Boy, another Nigerian singer.

She made the announcement few hours after releasing her cover for the trending ‘f**k you’ challenge.

Mummy Jamjam, fondly called by her friends and fans was married to Tuni Balogun popularly known as Teebillz for whom she birthed Jamil Balogun.

 

BURNA BOY

Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, also signed a deal with NB Plc this year, two months before Tiwa Savage came onboard.

Born on the 2nd of July, 1991, Burna Boy hails from Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.

The Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and song writer rose to prominence in the music industry in Nigeria in 2012 after releasing his lead single, ‘Like To Party’ which won the hearts of many across national borders.

 

ANNIE IDIBIA

Annie Idibia, the Nollywood actress and wife of the legendary singer, Innocent Idibia fondly called 2Baba, signed and sealed an endorsement deal with a fitness product company in Abuja named GetFit Technologies Limited.

Annie Idibia is an actress, model, presenter and mother of two who got a degree in Computer Science from the Lagos State University (LASU).

Being the brand ambassador for the sport & fitness company, Annie would help promote sales of smart, sport and fitness wearables which the company markets.
