446 Nigerians are in UAE prisons

A total of 446 Nigerians are currently languishing in prisons in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ambassador Mohammed Dansanta Rimi disclosed on Tuesday.

Rimi, who is the Nigerian Ambassador to UAE stated this during President Muhammadu Buhari’s town-hall meeting with Nigerians who are based in the UAE.

He said the 446 Nigerians are in prisons over drugs and other crimes.

The envoy made the disclosure weeks after five Nigerians were arrested over armed robbery in Dubai.
