Kidnappers of Dauda Lawal Dare’s brother yet to contact family

The kidnappers of Alhaji Yusuf Lawal Dare, the younger brother of APC governorship aspirant in Zamfara State Alhaji Dauda Lawal Dare, are yet to contact his family, an elder brother to the victim, Alhaji Umar Lawal Dare, told Daily Trust on Sunday.

Alhaji Yusuf Lawal Dare, a branch manager of the First Bank of Nigeria in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, was kidnapped alongside his cousin at his residence in Gada Biyu area of Gusau metropolis.

“To the best of my knowledge, the kidnappers of my brother and a cousin are yet to contact me or any other person in the family, though when the incident happened I wasn’t in town,” Umar Lawal Dare said.

He said the family had contacted the police and they said they were on top of the situation, adding that members of the family are fervently praying for the victims’ release.

The spokesman of the state police command SP Muhammad Shehu could not give further details on the incident. He only said, “give me some time I will get back to you.”
