The Rivers state governorship election collation panel, set up by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to reconvene by 3:00pm on Wednesday.
The panel, headed by the Chief Returning Officer, Professor Teddy Adias, said it will collate the governorship results from Gokana and Ahoada West local government areas of the state when it reconvened.
When the panel resumed by 10:00am on Wednesday morning, election results from Obio Akpor, Ogu/Bolo, Degema and Asari Toru were collated.
Daily Trust reports that the PDP governorship candidate, Nyesom Wike, is leading in the four local government areas collated so far today as he scored 337,324 votes to beat his closest rival, Biokpomabo Awara of AAC who polled 32,325 votes.
