A Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3 student of Capital Science Academy, Kuje, Abuja, Lois Amos-Penda, has emerged winner of the just-concluded Abuja Schools Competition, organised by the French Embassy in Nigeria to mark this year’s French Language Week.

The Francophone Week was a week-long event which featured a soccer tournament in which the school also came first in both junior and senior categories.

In a French language quiz competition, Miss Amos-Penda beat 30 other contenders to emerge winner, which saw her winning a return air ticket to Paris with Air France.

Organizers said the competition was organised to make the students develop further interest in French language.

City News reports that the art performance held on Saturday at the French Institute in Abuja, featured dance, drama and song.
