Nasarawa: INEC releases results of rerun elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the results of the four state constituencies held on Saturday in Nasarawa state.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, (REC) in charge of Nasarawa state, Dr Uthamn Ajidagba told Daily  Trust that, “Results of the election in the four state constituencies in Nasarawa state are as follows:

Karu: PDP’s David Maiyaki won by 16,361 votes;

Keffi: SDP’s Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Danladi won by 7,527 votes;

Nasarawa/Eggon: APC’s Muhammad Ibrahim Muluky won by 11,960 votes;

Obi-2: PDP’s Luka Ilya Zhekaba won by 13,942 votes.”

Daily Trust reports that the winners and their supporters have been celebrating the victory after the official announcement of the poll results.

The election was conducted yesterday amidst tight security, just as no violence was recorded in the areas where it held.
