2019 elections: Atiku, PDP file petition at Presidential Tribunal

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has filed a petition before the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) sitting at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Atiku and PDP in the petition filed on Monday are asking the tribunal to set aside the result of the 2019 elections and to declare the PDP candidate the rightful winner of the February 23 presidential election.

The petition by Atiku and the PDP was brought by a team of lawyers including Mike Ozekhome (SAN), Chukwu Machukwu-Ume (SAN), Emeka Etiaba (SAN) and the Legal Adviser of the PDP, Emmanuel Enoidem.
