Election in Imo State is witnessing pocket of violence, late arrival of materials, vote buying and compromise in some polling units.
At Ngo Okpala and Nwageli, there were reported cases of violence, snatching of ballot papers and electoral disturbance.
In some polling units monitored by our reporter, voting started early and voting went on with active supervision of party agents.
Security men were not around and those who were around simply stayed in their vehicles or away from the voting polling units.
The security men pretended as if nothing was happening.
However, in some polling units, card readers failed and they resorted to manual accreditation.
Most of the polling units did not start voting until 10 am.
