198 candidates, 13 parties for assembly polls

A total of 198 candidates from 13 political parties will participate in today’s House of Assembly election in Ekiti State.

INEC spokesman in the state, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, said the parties to contest are APC, PDP, NAC, Labour Party, ACPN, NDCP, ADC, NDL, YP, AAC, NPC, PPN and MPN.

Gbadegesin who spoke on behalf of the INEC Administrative Secretary, Dr Muslim Omoleke, the Acting REC, said the commission was fully ready for the poll.
