A House of Representatives member-elect, Emeka Chinedu, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will win this Saturday’s governorship election in Imo state despite glaring evidences of intimidation by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Chindu who was declared the winner of the election in Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency said that his victory had shown that PDP can wrestle power from APC on Saturday.
Chinedu had defeated a two-time member, Nnanna Igbokwe.
He accused the APC of relying on mutilation of figures and snatching of ballot boxes.
He said “Our victory in the face of intimidation by the APC on February 23 has shown that Imo people are in dire need of good governance through the PDP.”
“We withstood intimidation, threat and blackmail to ensure that Ezinihitte Mbaise/Ahiazu Mbaise federal constituency is delivered to PDP. On my honour, I will not disappoint you.”
He said that APC both at the national and state levels had failed to improve the welfare of the people of Imo
