The Kaduna State Chairman of Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah ( JIBWIS) Imam Mohammed Tukur Isa has denied the alleged plot to ban Shaikh Dahiru Bauchi from conducting Ramadan Tafsir in Kaduna State.
He said those spreading such rumour were enemies of peace and unity between JIBWIS and Fitiyanu group in the State.
Imam Isa said the purported letter in circulation on social media said to have been signed by a group of Ahalus Sunnah scholars after meeting with the State governor Nasir El-Rufai to discuss the plan to stop Dahiru Bauchi from offering Tafsir Lecture in the state was fake.
“The purported statement which stated that a group of Ahalus Sunnah met with APC governorship candidate in Kaduna to discuss how to stop Shaikh Dahiru Bauchi from conducting Ramadan Tafsir and how to ban Maulud celebration in Kaduna as a condition to support the governorship candidate is fake and false.
“Such a meeting never hold and the name of the group that appeared on the letter in circulation didn’t exist. So, as the chairman of JIBWIS in this state, I’m calling on the general public to disregard that letter on social media because it was a lie, fabricated to cause disunity among Muslims in the state,” he said.
