A 20-year-old final year student of Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), Nana Firdausi, has been kidnapped at her father’s residence located at Bayan Makarantar Mata, Hayin Gada in Dutsinma town, Katsina state.
Our reporter learnt that the abductors stormed the residence at about 3am on Sunday taking Nana and her aged mother simply identified as Baraka.
A family member, who craved anonymity, said later the aged mother was abandoned on the outskirts of town while Nana was taken away.
“Already, they have demanded for N10million which has been beaten down to N2million and still negotiation is ongoing” the source added.
In a related development, the wife of one Alhaji Nagaranye Kagadama whose name is yet to be ascertain have been kidnapped at Kagadama village of Dutsinma over the weekend.
No demand has been made yet by her abductors, our reporter gathered.
The police are yet to respond to enquiries made on the two incidents by our reporter.
