Ex-gov Lamido’s son heads to court over election result

The son of former Jigawa state governor and candidate for Jigawa Central Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mustapha Sule Lamido, has announced his plan to challenge the February 23 national assembly election outcome in court.

The Jigawa Central zonal Vice Chairman of PDP, Aminu Jahun, made this known to Daily Trust, saying they are challenging the result of the election based on the irregularities that characterized the national assembly’s election in the state.

It would be recalled that Senator Sabo Nakudu defeated the  son of the former governor, after polling a total vote of 224,543 against 143, 611 votes scored by the junior Lamido.
