ACPN denies endorsing Okowa’s re-election bid

The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) has urged the general public to disregard insinuation in some quarters that it has endorsed the re-election bid of the incumbent Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa.

A statement signed in Abuja, yesterday, by the ACPN National Secretary, who is also the party’s governorship flag bearer in the state, Chief Paul Isamade, urged party members to work hard for the success of its candidate in the state.

The party’s national leadership also threatened to sanction any member of ACPN who defied the directive or is seen to be engaged in anti-party activity.

The statement, which urged the public to disregard any publication that included the name of the party in respect of purported endorsement, expressed the commitment of the ACPN to winning the election.
