The essence of the workshop according to him was to demonstrate the e-Senate platform that would be introduced for Senate activities.

According to him, it would be beneficial for Principal Registrars, Deputy Registrars, College Officers and Senior Registrars as well as those that are involved in Senate activities, both at the College and University levels.

He urged the staff to adopt and familiarize themselves with the Senate’s new portal, stating that work on paper will go into extinction soon.

Explaining the rationale behind the e-Senate, the Chief Administrative Officer of the University described the distribution of paper as time consuming, hence, the need to move beyond the use of paper work.

Earlier in his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Kolawole Salako lauded the initiative while he charged concerned Registry staff to brace up to the new development.

He noted that the e-senate will create efficiency and secure information at the Senate.
