A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dr. Umar Ardo has described the results of last Saturday’s presidential election as frivolous.
A statement signed by Ardo described the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as product of carefully designed manipulation by the APC.
He indicated that the rigging planners allocated high figures for Buhari in his strongholds to maintain high margin while narrowing the gap in areas where the opposition is stronger.
“Whosoever cares to analyze the announced results, will see a clear pattern of systematic votes allocations based on a careful study of previous national elections results.
“Only this time they suppressed down the result figures in PDP strongholds of South East and South South, but maintaining the usual wide margins between PDP and Buhari. They equally did the same in Christian North, but allowed slide margin.
“Seemingly skillfully, they still maintained the high figures in Buhari’s strong holds and at the same time retaining the usual wide margins against the PDP.
“All this is done so as to guarantee more votes for Buhari against Atiku. Anyone can see through this clumsy scheme,” Ardo alleged.
Ardo expressed confidence that the tribunal will allow the use of forensic analysis technique to reveal the electoral malpractices committed in the election.
