515 non-teaching staff write promotion exams in Ogun

No fewer than 515 eligible non-teaching staff members of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board due for the 2016 and 2017 promotion exercise yesterday did the oral interview.

The officers, who had earlier gone through the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and written test for officers on Grade Levels 6 to 10, and  12 and above, took turns for the oral interview at the Board’s headquarters in Abeokuta.

The Board Secretary, Ogun SUBEB, Mr Wasiu Olalekan Kuye, expressed delight over Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s approval of the promotion exercise.

Kuye commended the officers from the Bureau of Establishment and Training for their support at making the exercise a success.

The Secretary, who said that he was impressed by the performance of the eligible officers, advised them to be more focused, diligent, hardworking and more responsible in their duties.

Also, the Director (Administrative and Supplies), Adesoji Adewuyi, advised the officers to be more computer-literate and conversant with civil service rules and regulations.

According to Adewuyi, requirements for promotion include observation of the minimum waiting period, satisfying the Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) for the number of years expected for the new post, obtaining at least 50 per cent of the total mark obtainable and passing the necessary or required examination in line with the provision of the extant scheme of service.
