President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has extended his lead over his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to 3,468,890 votes from the results of Saturday’s presidential elections from 27 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC .

The PDP has asked INEC to cancel the result of presidential election in Borno, Zamfara, Yobe and Nasarawa states while a new date should be fixed for a fresh poll.

Buhari polled 12,061,230 votes while Atiku recorded 8,592,340.

Meanwhile the market capitalisation of listed equities on Tuesday shed N85 billion in six hours of trading to what traders attributed to profit taking as result presidential poll.
