#NigeriaDecides: Atiku wins Presidential election in Ebonyi

The Presidential candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in Saturday poll in Ebonyi State.

Announcing the results, the state presidential collation Officer, Prof. Frank Chukwuemaka said that the presidential candidate of the PDP secured a total vote of 258,573 as against 132, 869 scored by president Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

But, the state Chairman of APC, Hon. Nwachukwu Eze has rejected the results.

Hon. Eze, who also served as the state agent for President Buhari, alleged that there were massive rigging by state ruling PDP.

The release of the results from the 13 local government areas in the state began yesterday afternoon and ended today at about 1:30 pm.

From the results, the former governor of state, Chief Martin Elechi was the only APC stakeholder in the state who delivered his local government area in favour of President Buhari.

Meanwhile, the results of the National Assembly elections indicated that candidates of PDP cleared the 9 national assembly seats.

The results scores for presidential election are:

Abakaliki APC- 8202, PDP- 18410
Izzi APC-9885, PDP- 23760.
Ohaukwu: APC-10,396, PDP-22,281
Onicha: APC- 2972, PDP- 28,239
Ishielu: APC- 7308, PDP- 23,207
Ohaozara :APC 2,058, PDP 33, 651.
Afikpo North: APC 5,356, PDP 20,070.
Ivo local: APC 1, 945, PDP 12,471
Afikpo South: APC 6391, PDP 12,181.
Ezza North: APC 4719, PDP 12840.
Ezza South: APC 4960, PDP 17724.
Ebonyi: APC-5766, PDP-17472
Ikwo: APC- 20,768, PDP- 16,267
