The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is currently leading his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, in the results of 21 out of the 23 local government areas so far declared by the INEC in Imo, following last Saturday’s presidential poll.
Daily Trust reports that results from only four local government areas are still been expected.
Our reporter gathered that the result for Nkwerre which was earlier declared for Buhari’s APC was changed when it was discovered that 1,000 votes was added to the scores.
Instead of 5,161, the officer wrote 6,161 while the result of PDP remains at 5819, putting PDP ahead of APC.
Buhari won in Oru East and Ideato South where the governorship candidate of the party, Hope Uzodinma, and Governor Rochas Okorocha, respectively, hail from.
