PDP wins senate seat in Kaduna

Senator Danjuma Tella Laah  of the People Democratic Party, PDP has been declared winner of the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District.

Announcing the result in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Headquarters, the Returning Officer, Dr. Suleiman M. Yashim said that Laah polled 268, 287 votes to defeat his main challenger, Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Barnabas Bala Bantex of the APC who scored 133, 923 votes.

Shekari Rijo Shekari of Social Democratic Party (SDP) scored 9, 609  votes to finished third.

With his re-election, Senator Laah is returning to the Senate for the second time, the first time in the history of southern Kaduna Senatorial District since 1999.
