Senatorial poll: Results in Akwa Ibom North West not declared – REC  

The Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Akwa Ibom state, Mr Mike Igini has said the commission is yet to declare a winner in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District election.

Igini said this in Uyo on Monday morning at the resumption of announcement of results for the Presidential elections in the state.

There have been speculations on social media that Senator Godswill Akapbio has lost the elections in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District to the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Chris Ekpenyong.

However, the REC dispelled the rumours saying, “Nobody has declared election results in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District”.
