The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, on Saturday said he and some stalwarts of his party were whisked away by security agents on Friday night – election eve.
Obi made the statement after casting his vote at his Amatutu ward 1 polling unit in Agulu, Anaocha local Government Area of Anambra State.
The vice presidential candidate who came to vote in company of his wife at 8:45am said it was rather too early to say which way the vote will sway.
He said,” I’m confirming to you that the security agencies whiskered away top members of PDP last night. They whisked away my people, including myself. I was harassed.
“I don’t know whether others who were arrested have been released. This spells doom for our democracy.”
