Police deploy 7,000 for election

The police in Benue State have deployed 7000 personnel to different parts of the state for today’s election.

The Commissioner of Police, Omololu Bishi, who disclosed this in Makurdi, appealed to citizens of the state to be law abiding and vote peacefully. He said all his men who were earlier deployed last Saturday went back to their primary places of assignment but returned for today’s election. The commissioner stressed the need for politicians to play the game according to the rules or risk the consequences.
