The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) FCT chapter has elected Andy Lucky Elerewe as its chairman.

Andy said  the first thing he would embark on is to get government see developers as  strategic partners and  not  people who are  just concerned about making profit.

He said, “We need  to change the way government see developers. We want them to see us as strategic partners, not as people who are just concerned about making profit.    Because we have common objectives in terms of providing housing, government has the basic responsibility of providing shelter and we are like an instrumentality through  which such could be accomplished.

“So, it is important for them to see us as strategic partners because by the time you solve the issue of housing, almost everything is solved. You can be sure  of having  a crime free environment and a healthy, free environment as well as providing jobs for the people,” he said.

Andy is the Chairman/CEO, AIBEN Investment & Properties Ltd, which has over 15 Housing Estates spread across three states: Lagos, Abuja and Katsina.

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife and Metropolitan School of Business and Management, U.K, Andy is a member of several professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Project Managers (CIPM).

REDAN is a professional body of real estate developers recognised by the Federal Government and saddled with the responsibility of providing affordable housing in the country.
