INEC advises election observers to resist inducement, partisanship

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of INEC in charge of Bauchi State, Ibrahim Abdullahi, has advised accredited election observers to resist any inducement or gratification from politicians during elections.

He made the call, yesterday, at a briefing for accredited domestic observers held at the INEC office in Bauchi.

Daily Trust reports that 1,990 domestic observers from 73 different election observer groups would be on the field to observe the conduct of the 2019 general elections in Bauchi State. He also warned the accredited observers not to engage in any act that would discredit the electoral process.

He advised them to give correct and unbiased situation reports on the conduct of the elections and the whole electoral process.
