PDP supporters paint Kano red as they await Atiku’s arrival

Thousands of supporters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have converged on the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano today to receive a former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who is the presidential candidate of the party.

Atiku is expected to hold his presidential campaign in the state today.

Most of the supporters within and outside the stadium are wearing a red cap, symbol of Kwankwasiyya, a pressure group owned by Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.

The PDP presidential candidate is expected to visit Aminu Kano Center of Democractic Research and Training, Mambayya House and pay homage to the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi ll before going to Sani Abacha stadium, venue of the rally.

Atiku would be accompanied by the Kwankwasiyya supreme leader, senator Kwankwaso during his visit to Kano.

Our reporter, who visited the scene on Sunday, report that a team of riot policemen have been dispatched to the area, while traffic is being diverted.
