The African Democratic Congress, ADC in Ogun State has warned against rigging of March 2 governorship election, saying “any effort toward such would be fiercely resisted by the masses.”
The party’s governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka spoke in Abeokuta alongside the National Chairman of ADC, Ralph Nwosu at the mega rally held in the Ogun State capital.
Isiaka stated that report available to him indicated that some people were plotting to manipulate the election, pleading that those behind such plot should desist in the interest of peace.
“Anyone that tries to manipulate the election will face the wrath of the law. We are aware that some opponents are planning to rig the election but that will be impossible. Tell them it will be impossible. If anybody tries to rig the election we will give them the force they want,” he said.
Isiaka added “Our objective is greater Ogun State. We will improve the economy, greater education system, provide health facilities. We will empower the youths and make them self-reliant. Beginning from 29th of May, we are going to actualise all these potentials.”
