The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed gratitude to God and rejoiced with the Federal Government and the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for surviving last Saturday’s helicopter crash in Kabba, Kogi state.
The CAN President, Dr. Samson Ayokunle, in a statement on Sunday urged technical team or those responsible for certification of aircrafts and helicopters to be more meticulous.
“We give glory to God for sparing the life of the Vice President and his team from the helicopter crash while mobilizing support for his party in preparation for the coming general elections.
“We recalled that he had similar experience last year while visiting the Nigeria Customs College in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
“It is our prayers that God will continue to watch over him and other top government functionaries. We urge the technical team or those responsible for the certification of the aircrafts and helicopters for use by the government officials to be more meticulous so as to avoid putting the lives of the users in danger,” Ayokunle said in the statement signed by his spokesman, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji.
