An expatriate working with Mothercat construction firm has been reportedly kidnapped in Katsina.
The expatriate, whose name and nationality is yet to be ascertained, is said to be a maintenance engineer working on various government owned structures. He was allegedly kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday.
Sources say the man was picked around 7am by Katsina City Mall, opposite Fatima Shema Housing Estate after gun shots were fired into the air by the gunmen.
Witnesses say the gunmen in a Peugeot 406 model car stormed the area shooting sporadically before whisking him away.
As at the time of filing this report, the police was not readily available for comment.
