Reactions have continued to trail Oby Ezekwesili’s withdrawal from 2019 presidential race.
Her decision has been met with diverse reactions on social media.
Here are some of the reactions:
Third force without a party chairman, any party agent in most states, with just Twitter membership without PVC, without any poster, without any representation in 80% of the wards & LGAs. Their target is the south west & south east. We know who Oby Ezekwesili is working for

I would love to meet Madam Oby Ezekwesili in person just to shake her and say ‘thank you ma’am’. She’s the hero Nigeria deserves.

“Oby Ezekwesili” drop his presidential ambition? with all her ranting in the #2019Debate anyway am still expecting more of them to show their true colour

The co-founder of Transparency International and former education minister, Oby Ezekwesili opting out of the presidential race is a smart move.
Politics in Nigeria is for the rich. If you are a good candidate and you don’t have the resources, you can’t beat either APC or PDP.

If madam Oby Ezekwesili is going to form a coalition to provide ‘alternative’ to this #APCPDP thing then 2019 election is not it… Except there’s a viable northern candidate to lead the supposed coalition. This election is already turn ugly and we don’t need it to be more ugly.

There is nothing special about Oby Ezekwesili stepping down from the race. It is both a renewed attempt to force a coalition and a truth to self that she cannot win the election. Having presided over the PACT affair, she should not have attempted to contest in the first place.

I respect Oby Ezekwesili’s descision. Coalition for 2023 starts now not 2019.

Following the reactions of Nigerian citizens at home and abroad to the 2019 Presidential Debate held on Saturday 19 January 2019, and after extensive consultations with leaders from various walks of life across the country over the past few days…
— Oby Ezekwesili (@obyezeks) January 24, 2019
This Oby Ezekwesili is not ready i swear.
— Olawale (@tbasejones) January 24, 2019
This Oby Ezekwesili’s step down, the coalition, the APCPDP, the timing (after the debate) and much more means more than meets the eye.
Even her debate approach was like she was lecturing and we know she can get more violent than that.
We are here.
— Emeka D. Azubuike (@zubidavies) January 24, 2019
But was Oby Ezekwesili ever in the race? was there a time anybody thought that she would get up to a million votes?
— Davidson™ (@Dahveydson) January 24, 2019
How intelligent Oby Ezekwesili is amazes me. She has super brains; The brain that should rule this country. I hope all other candidates take a cue from this and come together. They’ll be formidable.

Women outnumber men yet they can’t rally support for Oby Ezekwesili .

And there we were thinking Oby Ezekwesili was Nigeria’s Hillary clinton and then boom she withdraws from the race. smh
Madam oby never took this presidential race serious anyways, so it’s no breaking news.
