Ogun Gubernatorial Election: Group vows to deliver 1.2m votes to Isiaka

A group in Ogun State under the aegis Ogun Mandate Network, has adopted the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and vowed to deliver 1.2 million votes for him in March 2 election.

The leader of the group, Comrade Shuaib Aro disclosed this at the formal inauguration of the group in Abeokuta.

Aro said the group targeted 50 percent of voter’s registered in each polling booth across the state, with a view to delivering 1.2million votes out of over two million registered voters in the state.

The group leader pointed out that Isiaka, popularly called GNI, had distinguished himself as an unblemished and most qualified gubernatorial candidate to deliver good governance in the state.

He said “Ogun Mandate Network is not affiliated to any political party.

“But we have looked around and accessed all candidates by the track records of achievements with the capacity to deliver good governance. We do not intend to castigate anyone.

“I must tell you that we discovered that this man (Isiaka) as most qualified. He has shown to us he would be a listening leader. He will deliver dividend of democracy.

“This is why we have adopted Gboyega Nasir Isiaka as our governorship candidate. Aside him, we equally adopted Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House Candidates. We must work for their victory at the polls.

“All members of Ogun Mandate Network have their PVCs. As at today, we have had more than 15,000. We are embarking on an aggressive mobilisation to ensure we deliver 1.2m votes for GNI out of 2.3million registered voters in the state. The target is to secure average of 50% of voter registered member in each polling booth. By the time we deliver 1.2million votes, other governorship candidates can share the rest.”
