Sasi Miet Jaja (Lawyer/Author) Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Sasi Miet Jaja’s last good read is Francine Rivers’ ‘Redeeming Love’. “It touched me so much,” he said. “It’s a story of Hosea in the Bible, written in a contemporary way to illustrate the love Christ has for His church. Very few books make me cry, but this one did. It’s about a girl who was abused and her psyche was damaged. She found it hard to trust any man. It took my mind to the story of a girl in Benue who was said to have been raped by her cousin and uncle and later died.

Jaja is author of a collection of short stories titled ‘Justice Club’, which won the 2018 ANA/Abubakar Gimba Prize for Short Stories. He is also author of novels such as ‘Treacherous Game’, ‘Wade Across Freedom’, ‘Abiding Dream’, and ‘Cosmopolitan Fables’.
