President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of Dr Muideen Yomi Kasali as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), Ilorin.
Kasali’s appointment took effect from October 28, 2018, for a term of four years. He rose through the ranks to become the Acting Executive Director of the NCAM in July 2015.
The NCAM boss was born on March 10, 1961, at Ijebu-Itele in Ijebu East Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State.
He attended St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Esure, Ijebu Imushin from 1973 to 1979, and obtained his West African School Certificate in grade one.
He bagged a master’s degree in Land Reclamation with major in Irrigation and Drainage from the Nicolae Balcescue Institute of Agronomy, Bucharest, Romania, in 1986.
He also obtained a Masters of Engineering degree from the University of Ilorin in 2003. In 2015, he got his PhD in Agricultural and Bio-systems Engineering from the same university.
Kasali started his professional career at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Abuja, where he was deployed to NCAM as an Agricultural Engineer II.
