“We implore you to maintain your neutral status as security agency, as emphasized by president Muhammadu Buhari at the inauguration of his campaign council, so that your prestige and integrity would continue to be preserved and upheld in the eyes of the public.

“We also wish to request you to expedite action in bringing those responsible for the dead of some people during the political rallies at Rano, Bichi and recent one at Dawakin Tofa to book to face the wrath of the law so that it will serve as deterrent to others” the committee pleaded.

Responding, C P Yusuf assured the committee that necessary measures have already been taken to ensure the success of the elections, saying “we have already conducted security threat analysis to identify some flash points that may likely pose security threat during the electioneering period and necessary action has been taken against the areas.

Commenting about the incidences at Rano, Bichi and lately Dawakin Tofa where two persons were reportedly killed during a political rally recently, the C P said some arrests have been made while investigation is still in progress, saying the culprits would be brought to book as soon as police conclude investigation.
