The 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment situated in Jos, Plateau state has charged the personnel of the division to remain focus and resolute in the fight against terrorism across the country.
The call was made by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the division, Major General Nuhu Angbazo, during the West African Social Activities (WASA) held in Jos at the weekend.
WASA is a regimental activity in the Nigerian Army where officers and soldiers come together to mark the end of year training services and show-case various cultural dance group in Nigeria.
“We would continue to meet up with the contemporary security challenges we are experiencing now, particularly in the areas of counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency being carried out across the country.
“We remind all (personnel) to train hard and also be security conscious. All personnel must be security conscious, be familiar with our environment, monitor and report any strange occurrences and unusual activities to the appropriate security agencies,” Maj.-Gen. Angbazo said.
He enjoined the personnel to remain resolute and steadfast in the quest to move the Nigerian Army forward.
He further said that his vision for the division was hinged on the welfare of his officers, soldiers and their families; followed by all round professional conducts of the soldiers and finally the conduct of all operations based on the established rules of engagement.
