Saraki, Dogara react as gunmen kill ex-security chief Alex Badeh

The president of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki has expressed shock over the murder of former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, saying that the country had suffered another great loss with the passing of the military officer.

Badeh was reportedly assassinated along Abuja-Keffi road. He died inside his car.

Saraki in a tweet said: “Nigeria has suffered another great loss with the passing of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh. My heartfelt prayers go to his family and our Armed Forces at this tragic time. May the Almighty grant him eternal rest”.

Also reacting, the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara described the murder of the former Chief of Defence Staff as saddening and alarming.

“News of the gruesome murder of the former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, is both saddening and alarming. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, and I hope that those responsible are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice”.
