Ekiti: Fulani move to end hostilities with farmers

The Fulani in Ekiti State have resolved to end all forms of hostilities with farmers in the state to enable both parties exist in harmony.

Acting under the aegis of Gan Allah Fulani Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Ekiti State chapter, the Fulani, in a statement released on Sunday, asserted that “all necessary logistics have been put in place to make sure peace reigns between famers and herdsmen in the state.”

GAFDAN said the Fulani in the state believed “in the safety of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.”

In the statement signed by its Chairman, Alhaji Issa Adamu, GAFDAN, a Fulani socio-cultural group, said its members were working for the peaceful co-existence and overall socio-economic development of the state and Nigeria.

It described the Fulani in Ekiti State as “peaceful people who go about their businesses without any form of hindrance to their hosts and the environment.”
